POSTER 1 - ELIAS PETTERSSON

POSTER 1 - ELIAS PETTERSSON
This Elias Pettersson poster was inspired by suisse design. However, I wanted to also "break the grid" in some areas of the poster, and I did so using bold typography, and loud colours that match the theme of the iconic skate jersey. I finally touched the poster off with some micro-graphics showcasing some statistics of the star Canucks centre.

Poster 2 - Brock Boeser
This Brock Boeser poster was once again inspired by suisse design. This time, I used some cool nesting effects with the hockey stick and Boeser's signature alongside the bold typography to really break the grid. I then finished off the poster with some more micro-graphics featuring the star Canucks winger's statistics to wrap it all up.

Poster 3 - Thatcher Demko
This Thatcher Demko poster was extremely experimental. I tried to go for a similar style used by the Canucks social media team, to see if I could build on it. I used multiple layers featuring the star Canucks goaltender that nested in-between some of the text. This poster was a simple, yet bold approach to creating a sports-design poster.

This Quinn Hughes Poster was actually made several months before this 2024-25 season ended. For this one, I really experimented with several design elements to really frame and put emphasis on the Canucks' captain. I haven't posted this one yet, since it was intended for when Hughes passes former Canucks defenseman Alex Edler as the franchise points leader among defensemen. Overall, this was probably the most experimental poster out of the bunch, and I could confidently say I developed my skills the a lot more from this poster alone.

Throughout 2024, I experimented with several different design techniques to use in my sports-design poster series. This project featuring the Canucks top players was not only fun, but also a great learning experience that really showcases my development in sports-design. These posters were made purely out of joy, and the willingness to learn and create new things, and they were very successful, as shown on my social media posts.
